Functional and stereotactic neurosurgery has undoubtedly been one of the disciplines with the greatest evolution in recent decades. This has been due to technological innovations, greater and deeper knowledge of the pathophysiology of the nervous system, advances in functional imaging and, of course, the effort, energy and tireless work of the
WSSFN since its creation in 1961 until today.
This is why for us, the Latin American community of functional neurosurgery, gathered in the Latin American Society of Functional Neurosurgery and Stereotaxy (SLANFE), it is a true honor, challenge and commitment to have been distinguished as hosts, for the first time in history, of an international event of the WSSFN.
Welcome to the WSSFN2005 Interim Meeting in Buenos Aires!
